Burning with Love

"Mare, alam niyo na ba ang latest?"
We love our Titas. Even with the endless "May boyfriend ka na ba, hija?" or the notorious "Hija, tumataba ka yata", we look forward to family gatherings for Tita's Paella and Cathedral Cake, pasalubong from Titas in the US, and the Adults-Only chismis that we pretend not to hear but still listen to to keep our lives extra interesting.

And turning into one isn't such a bad thing. When we suddenly find ourselves refreshed from grocery or furniture shopping, drinking tea before bedtime on a Friday night, or busting out a pamaypay on a hot summer day, it all just makes sense. Why hold back the urge of buying that succulent to liven up your work desk? Zumba is just as fun for us millennials, as it is for our Titas! And admit it, ube cake rocks.

So we are not afraid to admit that we may be turning into Titas ourselves. Our constant Pinterest adventures have proven that we millennials aren't all about drinking, clubbing, dating. Name it: experimenting our best version of Arroz Caldo, reigning as DIY queens of homemade gifts or home decor, and making our own concoction of linen sprays for our bedrooms. If you can, we can. We have it all for you. You're in good hands. Hashtag slogan vomit.

It just feels good to feel that we are growing up a little but knowing that we are still young and have endless possibilities.

And so here's the blog, daily musings, and #Titadventures of two twenty-somethings turning into Titas, one pin at a time.

It all started with burnt toasts.

Pinterest Fail - Burned Heart Toast - Pinterestitas
Burning with Love

I just arrived Canada, #funemployed but with everything in the world to explore. I wanted to do what any other housewife would do; start the day by cooking breakfast for the hubby. (Disclaimer: I have lived alone for 10 years of my life, and cereals would have done the trick. But I'm a married woman now, and I have to step up my breakfast game for the love of my life.)

So I went on Pinterest, followed the instructions like below:
Egg in a heart toast. Recipe here
And I failed miserably by burning my toasts. (Also because I attempted to do it french toast, rather than just normal toast because of #magis)

But my first attempt at being a housewife/tita-in-the-making was met with an overjoyed husband who found my burnt toast and somewhat heart shaped egg very cute. Our breakfast that morning was #burningwithlove. Teehee.

One pin down, a million more to go. Will Tita T become a legit #PinterestHousewife? (I was starting to type #horsewife nyaha) Stay tuned!

Love,
Tita T
